About
Dr. Suzanne Benedict is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences School of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 2012, and subsequently completed a one-year rotating internship at a specialty veterinary hospital in San Diego. After her internship, she practiced both general practice and emergency medicine in the Southern California area and ultimately chose to pursue a career in internal medicine resulting in a cross-country move to attend Tufts University in Massachusetts for a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine. Following the completion of her residency, she moved back to San Diego and spent five years practicing internal medicine in the area until deciding to return to the East Coast to be closer to family.
She enjoys all aspects of her career and receives great personal fulfillment helping strengthen the human-animal bond through caring for and managing beloved pets’ ailments. When not in the hospital, she enjoys spending time with friends, and family, traveling, yoga, running, and cuddling her two fur kids, Dori and Jack.
