About
Dr. Ella Pittman saw her first “patient” at two weeks old. Her mom, a small animal house call veterinarian, carried her in one hand and a black doctor’s bag in the other. Dr. Pittman’s love of horses inspired her to follow her mom’s footsteps. She graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and completed an equine-focused internship the following year. She then returned to Cornell for a three-year residency in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia in small and large animals.
Dr. Pittman’s interests include locoregional anesthesia, anesthesia education, and pain management of dogs and cats. She works with the entire Port City team to ensure a safe, comfortable anesthetic event for patients.
Outside of the OR, Dr. Pittman enjoys running and has finished 7 marathons, including Boston. She has two orange cats, Bagel and Lox, and an off the track thoroughbred mare, Mera.
