About

Dr. Julia O’Rourke is originally from Southeastern Connecticut. She received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut in Storrs. She continued her education at Purdue University where she received her veterinary degree. Following graduation, she moved south and completed a small animal rotating internship with BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Atlanta, GA.

While she enjoyed the warmth and sunshine in Georgia, Julia was ready to return to New England and live closer to family and friends. Julia enjoys all aspects of emergency medicine and having the opportunity to collaborate with specialists to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.

Outside of work, Julia enjoys exploring all the seacoast has to offer. You can usually find her walking or reading a book by the ocean. Julia has a special love of beagles having two of her own, Macie and Brody, as well as a labrador retriever named Cam.
