About

Dr. Meg Abrahamson is from the seacoast area of New Hampshire. She started her veterinary journey with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology at UNH Thompson School of Applied Science. She also completed her Bachelor of Science at UNH College of Life Science and Agriculture in Animal Science. She started working as a veterinary assistant at a small animal general practice halfway through tech school. After a couple years there, she wanted to experience dairy medicine and began working at a local dairy farm. In 2017, she started working at an emergency and referral hospital, and ever since then she remained interested primarily in small animal emergency medicine.

She is a graduate of St. George’s University in Grenada with her clinical year completed at Michigan State University. During her clinical year, she took a rotation in honey bee medicine, where she learned more about bees than she ever thought possible. One day, she would like to provide local and commercial beekeepers with the veterinary care they need to keep their hives healthy, which are a crucial to our environment.

She has two kitties – one is a sweet old lady and the other is a younger kitty that was foster *failed* during her time in Grenada. Outside of work, she can be found spending time with family or friends, at the gym, outdoors, reading a good book, or exploring a new greenhouse!
